Helpful Hints for the First Day
*Get lots of sleep the night before
· Send with your child written notification of how they will be going home at the end of the day. For the first four days of school please use the tags provided in the first day packets and pin the tags on your child's back. Please make sure to indicate on the student information sheet if your child will be going home a different way after the first day or two of school. All notes should be placed in your childs agenda.
· ** Any time during the year that there is a change in the way your child get home it needs to be in writing or an email. Please do not leave me a voice mail of a change on how your child goes home. All voice mail messages are checked sporadically or when possible but not during the school day!
· Lunch Money should be turned in to the cafeteria in the morning prior to students coming to class. Lunch money must be labeled with child’s name, teacher’s name and grade. Make checks payable to Mary Bryant Lunchroom.
· Please make sure that all lunch boxes, jackets, backpacks, and supplies are labeled with your child’s name.
· Your child will bring home a binder with them Monday – Friday. This binder will contain information on homework, behavior and other important school information. There is also a Parent Communication Box for parents to write me notes that is checked daily and is one way to communicate with me. Please check your child’s binder/agenda daily and return it to school. The best way to communicate with me is through
email!!
· Any medications that your child might need during the day should go directly to the office. The medication must be a prescription and parents will need to fill out a form for the clinic to be able to dispense it at school.
