Van Tassel’s May/June Investigator
We are really busy the next couple of weeks. We will still have homework, vocabulary, spelling, and unit test weekly. We will have some weeks without tests due to being really busy with school activities. Please take note of the End of the Year Exams we have!
In math we will be learning third grade materials and reviewing each chapter. Please encourage them to learn their doubles in addition (4+4=8) without their fingers. This is really a base for many of the upper level concepts and will help them problem solve many problems. Use the websites on our class webpage. There are several links to math.
In writing I am so excited about how well our class is performing. They are using crafts, punctuation, and a clear BME. Please encourage them to write over the summer. The Hillsborough writes is on Tuesday, May 7, 2011.
In science we are reviewing concepts and touching up on our vocabulary, learning about habitats, magnets and tools and finally if time permits some space.
